The Korea Research Institute f Decommissioning (KRID, President Kwon Byung-hoon) held its opening ceremony on December 2, 2024, 

at its headquarters located in Gijang-gun, Busan. The event was attended by key figures, including Chairman Hwang Ju-ho, 

Second Vice Ministry of Trade, industry and Energy Choi Nam-ho, Ulsan Deputy Mayor of Economy Ahn Hyo-dae, Uljoo County Governor Lee Soon-geol, 

and Gijang County Mayor Jeong Jong-bok, along with representatives from related companies and institutions such as Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power and KEPCO KPS.

With the official opening of its headquarters, KRID is now set to begin operations and will play a vital role as a comprehensive platform 

for the domestic nuclear decommissioning industry.
